EERB-BEPH2009

After nearly three years of preparation,“The 5th Interntaional Workshop on Energy and Environment of Residential Buildings” and “The 3rd International Conference on Built Environment and Public Health(EERB-BEPH 2009)” co-sponsored by Hunan University, Hong Kong University, and Tsinghua University. ) was successfully held in Guilin, Guangxi Province from May 29th to June 1st, 2009. The conference was co-organized by Guilin University of Electronic Technology and other institutions. Professor Zhang Guoqiang of Hunan University, Professor Li Yuguo of Hong Kong University and Professor Zhang Xiaoping of Tsinghua University served as the chairman of the conference. Professor Zhang Quan served as secretary of the conference. Prof. Zhang Quan of Hunan University, Dr. Lueng Michael of Hong Kong University, Wang Xinke of Tsinghua University, and Dr. Mojin Han took on the editorial work of the Proceedings.

EERB-BEPH received more than 400 papers in total. After rigorous review by the international academic committee of the conference, it received more than 380 academic papers. At the end of the day, all papers have been searched by Thomson Reuters, an authoritative international search agency.(Index to Scientific & Technical Proceedings (ISTP), Institute for Scientific Information, ISI). The authors of the papers can search through the ISI Web of Knowledge for information on all the papers of the conference.

EERB-BEPH 2009 has been supported by 13 international and domestic academic institutions, including the International Society for Indoor Air Quality and Climate, ISIAQ, American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Architectural Association of Japan, Japan Heating and Air Conditioning and Hygiene Society, and International Air Permeation and Ventilation Research Center, China Ministry of Education,Building Thermal Power Branch of Architectual Society of China, HVAC Subcommittee of Architectual Society of China,Chinese Association of Refrigeration, Chinese Society For Environmental Sciences, CSES, TheHong Kong Institution of Engineers, HVACR website, etc.

The goal of EERB-BEPH 2009 is to study how to improve the indoor environment, energy use, and the health of the residents through an integrated approach (using buildings and residents as a system) to achieve the sustainable development of buildings.
